Have you ever seen a shiny apple that looks perfect on the outside, but when cut open, is brown on the inside? This can happen in real life too. Sometimes people look friendly, strong, or beautiful on the outside, but on the inside, in their hearts, things are not right. This is called living a “double life.”
God doesn’t want us to be like that. He wants us to be the same people on the inside and the outside—honest, loving, and true.
The Bible tells us about Joshua who made a firm decision and resolve. He said, “but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.” Joshua chose to follow God not just in public, but in his heart too. That’s called being aligned—when what we believe matches how we live.
God also wants us to be accountable. This means having good friends or family who point us towards what is right. They can remind us, encourage us, and even correct us kindly when we make mistakes, and we can do the same for them.
Lastly, God wants us to be authentic. This means being honest about who we are. We don’t have to pretend to be perfect. If we do something wrong, we can tell God and ask Him to help and forgive us. God already knows our hearts, and He loves us. As long as we are willing, He will work in us to help us grow and change.
When we live aligned, accountable, and authentic lives, we don’t live in fear or hiding from anything. We can be at peace and joyful, knowing we are walking in God's highway everyday.

In the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, we pray.
Thank You for loving us as we are.
Help us be honest in our hearts and deeds.
Teach us to follow You everyday, not only when others are watching.
Give us courage and humility to admit when we are in the wrong and ask for Your help.
Guide us towards good friends who encourage us to do what is right,
And be the same people inside and out.
